Overview

This article shows how to format rich text using simple HTML markup. Rich text content is supported in the following areas of Dundas Dashboard:

Markup

Below are examples of supported formatting tags.

  • Bold text:   <b>This is bold text.</b>

  • Italics:   <i>This text appears in italics.</i>

  • Hyperlinks:   <a href="http://www.dundas.com">This is a hyperlink.</a>

  • Formatting text appearance: Use the format tag, where all attributes are optional.

    <format foreground="#FF0000" bold="true" underline="true" italic="true" background="black" size="18">Lorem Ipsum</format>

    If you use the underline attribute, note that regular blankspaces in your line of text will not be underlined. If you require underlined spaces, type a non-breaking space character instead. To do this, press and hold the ALT key, type 0160, and then release the ALT key. A blankspace will appear, but it will be a non-breaking space character.

  • Images: Use the img tag. The href attribute is optional. If href is specified, the image will act as a hyperlink.

    <img src="http://www.dundas.com/dd/CustomLoadingIcon.png" href="http://www.dundas.com" />

Note: Tags cannot be nested. For example, the following text is invalid: <b><i>bold and italic</i></b>
