Overview

In Dundas Dashboard, there is no built-in pivot property. However, there are several options on how to pivot (or transpose) data in Dundas Dashboard.

Whenever possible, transpose your data right at the data source, since it is not straightforward to pivot data in Dundas Dashboard. For example, if your data source is in Excel, you can first pivot your data (using Excel's Pivot Table functionality) prior to importing to Dundas Dashboard.

Non-OLAP Data

Using the DataGrid's Transpose Property

If you simply need to transpose (not pivot) the rows to columns, you can use the DataGrid's Is transposed. You can find more information from the Transposing rows and columns article.

Using the Pivot/Unpivot functions in a Manual Virtual Table

You can use the Pivot/Unpivot SQL functions in the query of a Manual Virtual table. Refer to the Using PIVOT and UNPIVOT in Manual Virtual Tables article for more information.

Using Small Multiples

You can use the Small Multiples to display the Day as column dimensions. Refer to the Small Multiples sample below.

Note: When you export the Small Multiples control to an Excel file, the format shown on the screen will not be exported as-is. For example, the Day columns will not be exported on separate columns, rather, they will be on the same row.

Display as a Data Table on a Chart

To display the pivoted data together with a chart, you can enable the Data Table property. Refer to the sample below:
