In a tree map (or heat map), data values are represented by varying-sized nodes with user-selected colors. Each dimension value is displayed as a node with its size and optionally color determined by up to two metric values.

Note that a KPI with a splitter dimension will be displayed in a treemap with values grouped into two levels of a hierarchy, with axis dimension value nodes nested inside splitter dimension value nodes.
