Overview

Upload image files as resources to be used as backgrounds for dashboards or dashboard controls (⪚ the Image control). You can add images to your Project Resources folder or to the Shared Resources folder.

Adding an image

To add an image resource:

  1. Expand the Project Resources (or Shared Resources) folder in the Design Explorer.
  2. Select the Images folder.
  3. Click the menu icon.
  4. Choose Upload Image.
    The Images menu.
  5. Use the file selector to choose an image file.

Your image is uploaded to the Dashboard server and is now available in the Images folder, for use with the Image control.

Tip: Dundas Dashboard supports JPEG and PNG images.

Adding images using drag-and-drop

You can quickly and easily add multiple images to the Images folder (or one of its sub-folders) by dragging image files from Windows Explorer:

  1. In the Design Explorer, expand the Project Resources (or Shared Resources) folder and sub-folders until you see your target Images folder.
  2. Open Windows Explorer and select one or more image files to be added to Dundas Dashboard.
  3. Drag-and-drop the selected image files to the target Images folder in the Design Explorer.

The newly added image files appear automatically in the target Images folder.
