Error

- An unexpected error occurred
The 'LEVEL_UNIQUE_NAME' property is not recognized

Image

Symptoms

This error appears when OLAP data is being used and the parameters are being set using script.

Cause

This error might come if the member names being passed to the parameter are not in the correct format.

mvd.Values.Add(mySelection);

Resolution

To avoid this, enclose the member values in square brackets i.e. [mySelection].

In script form it should look like:

mvd.Values.Add(""+mySelection+"");

While it may work if the value is passed directly as above, it is always preferable to pass the unique name with [dim].[hierarchy].[level] as prefix for the name as the value.

[dim].[hierarchy].[level].&[mySelection];
