Overview

This article describes the steps required when moving the Dundas Dashboard application, or website, to a different location. In this particular scenario, the Dundas Dashboard application was initially installed as a standalone website, but will need to be moved as a Virtual Directory of an existing website.

Steps

Modification to be made on the IIS

  1. Launch Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. In the IIS manager console, right click on your existing site and select “Add Application”.
  3. Point the new Application to the WWW folder of the existing Dundas Dashboard application.
Tip: To get the full path of the existing Dundas Dashboard application's WWW folder: Right Click on the Site Name -> Manage Web Site -> Advanced Settings -> Physical Path

Modification to be made on the Dundas Dashboard Configuration File

  1. Edit the Dundas Dashboard Configuration File.
  2. Make changes to the DundasDashboardUrl tag on the Dundas Dashboard configuration file, and set to the new URL. This URL is used when sharing the dashboards.
  3. Restart your Website.
