The PowerPoint Export Add-on lets you export an image of your Dashboard as a Microsoft PowerPoint (PPTX) document. Currently, the add-on only lets you export the entire dashboard as an image.

General Usage

To export your Dashboard using the PowerPoint Export Add-on:

  1. View the dashboard you want to export.
  2. Click the Export button in the Dundas Dashboard Toolbar. The Export wizard appears and shows a preview of the current dashboard.
  3. Click the Export file format dropdown list (in the top-left) and choose the PowerPoint Export option.
  4. Click Finish. A Save As dialog appears, asking you to choose the location and name of the PowerPoint (.pptx) file that will be created. Click Save when you have chosen the location and filename.

The PowerPoint file is created and the Export wizard closes automatically.

The Export wizard.

The Export wizard.

A common issue after installation of the add-on is that the PowerPoint Export option does not show up in the Export wizard.

To resolve this:

  1. Close your browser that has Dundas Dashboard running.
  2. Open a command prompt window and perform an iisreset.
  3. Once the iisreset operation completes, re-launch Dundas Dashboard.

Release History

This add-on was first released with Dundas Dashboard 2.5.0.
