This article shows how to edit an existing virtual cube in &dw;. You may want to edit a virtual cube in order to select a different set of cube elements (⪚ measures and dimensions) or to reconfigure date mapping.

Editing a virtual cube

To edit an existing virtual cube from the Design Explorer:

  1. Select your virtual cube in the Design Explorer, then click its menu button. The Virtual Cube menu is displayed.

  2. From the Virtual Cube menu, choose Edit. The Virtual Cube Designer is displayed.
  3. Click the Check Out button (if available) in the Dundas Dashboard Toolbar.

  4. Configure the virtual cube as shown in the article, Creating a Virtual Cube.
  5. Click Save in the Dundas Dashboard Toolbar to save your changes.

  6. Click Check In from the Dundas Dashboard Toolbar.
    The Check In button.
    Optionally enter a comment in the Check In dialog, then click Check in.

You have edited an existing virtual cube and made the changes accessible to other users.
