You can delete a project item, such as a virtual table or KPI, from the Design Explorer as long as it is not being referenced by other project items. For example, if a KPI is being used by an existing dashboard, you will not be permitted to delete that KPI. To delete a folder item, the folder must be empty. Your user account must also have sufficient permissions to perform the deletion operation.

Before deleting a project item, review the list of dependencies between it and other project items first. See Project Item Properties for more details.
