[Dundas Dashboard ''version_number'']

This data provider requires installation of a specific driver on the server. Please click on the "Help" button for more details.

[0] To use the FoxPro provider, please configure IIS to run Dundas Dashboard in 32-bit mode.
Dundas.Dashboard.Extensibility.DataProviders.CannotLoadDataProviderException at Dundas.Dashboard.DDException..ctor(String message, Exception innerException)
[1] The ‘Provider_Name’ provider is not registered on the local machine.
System.InvalidOperationException at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbServicesWrapper.GetDataSource(OleDbConnectionString constr, DataSourceWrapper& datasrcWrapper)

This error appears when a Microsoft Visual Fox Pro / dBASE data provider is used and the connection fails.

This error shows up due to the following reasons:

  • IIS is running as a 64-bit application whereas the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Visual FoxPro if 32-bit only
  • The OLE DB driver is installed for single user instead of all users.

  • If the above point does not resolve it, then check if the driver has been installed for single user. If it is, then reinstall it for all users. See the tip here:
    Data source requirements

Tip: When installing a driver, ensure that it is installed for all users on the system, rather than just your own user account. This is because the account that IIS runs under will need to have access to the drivers in order for the corresponding data connectors to work.
